Our Story

Gedling & District Indoor Bowls Club was opened in 1987 and is situated in Carlton approximately three miles to the east of Nottingham and offers excellent bowling and social facilities.

We are a mixed club, catering for all ages from eight years of age upwards and have facilities for all abilities. Whether you are looking to take up the game of bowls for the first time, or are an experienced bowler, we warmly welcome you to our club.

We offer any prospective member a one hour taster session free of charge to try before you even think of joining us. Please message using the contact page below if you are interested.

Bowls is a highly social activity which can be enjoyed by everyone regardless of what level of skill they wish to aspire to.

Some members enjoy just casual play and meeting with friends, some enjoy friendly matches against other clubs whilst others compete in Club, County and National Competitions.

Our club is open all the year round and we offer a full and comprehensive bowls programme in the winter months with internal leagues and competitions and a more casual game in the summer.
